MOT TESTING

The law requires that every car that is 3 years old get an MOT Test every 12 months to check if it is in roadworthy condition.

It isn’t the same as having your vehicle serviced and doesn’t check its general mechanical condition.

The test doesn’t cover the condition of the:

  • engine
  • clutch
  • gearbox

You can’t drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has run out. You can be prosecuted if caught.

The only exceptions are to drive it:

  • to or from somewhere to be repaired
  • to a pre-arranged MOT test

Our EXPERIENCED technicians will advise u all the way.

WHAT WE LOOK AT

The Test looks at some important items on your car and see if they meet the key legal minimum requirements at the time of test.   You should be aware that the MOT certificate is not a guarantee of the general mechanical condition of the vehicle and does not mean the vehicle is roadworthy for the life of the certificate.
